Baby Registry and Free Goodies

Tip 01: Have More than One Registry

Why? Because you want to take advantage of all the free baby swag these stores will give you for registering. This lets you try out multiple brands that fit your needs without committing to one. And whatever baby products you don’t receive at your shower, these stores will offer discounts on the remainder of your registry items.

How? Before you get overwhelmed. You can keep all these multiple baby registries at different stores organized by using BabyList! BabyList is an awesome site that will keep all your registries in one location making it easy for your family and friends. This way you only have one hyperlink in your baby shower invites. (I highly recommend downloading the BabyList app. While your browsing the internet the BabyList app makes it extremely easy to add or remove items to your registry list, even if its items being sold at stores that your not registered with like an Etsy seller or small local business).

Here are all the stores I registered with:

  • Target

  • Amazon

  • BuyBuyBaby

  • BabyList

Above: My diaper caddy filled with all FREE baby products from Target, Amazon, and BabyList’s swag bags and welcome boxes!

Target:

They will provide you with a FREE Welcome kit after you create your baby registry with them. I highly recommend getting the kit, you can pick it up at any local Target. Inside the Welcome kit is a coupon booklet, and that has saved me major money! The best part is you can start using the coupons immediately upon receiving them because they aren’t just for the baby. There are coupons for the mom, like discounts on maternity clothes and nursing bras.* There’s even a discount on a coffee from Starbucks, to give you a little boost during your shopping.

Amazon:

If you have a Prime membership, create a registry with Amazon and then make a purchase from your registry. After doing so you will then recieve your Welcome box that is valued to $35 with free products. My favorites in my box was the free swaddle, baby bottle samples, and water resistant travel size diaper bag.*

BabyList:

BabyList was my favorite welcome box with so many freebies ranging from pacifiers, to diapers, bibs, breast pads and discounts. I loved that they even took the time to package it nicely so it felt like a gift. What was most helpful is the well designed booklet that guides you through all the main products you will need ranging from strollers, diaper bags, bottles, and other baby gear. Theres so much that you could buy for a baby, it gets overwhelming. So it was nice to have a map of all the different categories and then you can make the call what you need.

Tip 02: Don’t synch your registries

By having multiple baby registries you also get to reap the benefit of getting 15-20% off whatever is still left in your registry after your baby shower. This has been a life saver for us since we bought the big essential baby items ourselves, like the car seat, crib, rocking chair etc. And you’d be surprised how much these costs. This is the main reason why I didn’t synch my registries on the BabyList app. I wanted to be able to redeem the 15-20% discount from each retailer after our shower.

Tip 03: Don’t stress

Don’t stress too much in trying to get everything before the baby arrives. Try to get the essentials, like diapers, wipes, a bassinet, the car seat, etc. After the baby arrives and as you get to know your little one, you’ll start to see what you actually do need. And don’t worry about running out to the store, Amazon Prime’s one day shipping or Target’s Drive Up makes the shopping experience all the more convenient for new parents.
